WF: Jake, you are a living legend, people around the world know you as Jake "the Snake" Roberts. Why did you take the Name "the Snake" and why you put a python to the ring - your idea?
Jake: Snake rhymed with Jake, the Snake was my favorite American football player (Kenny Stabler) nicknamed Snake, a great quarterback. Another reason was the simple fact that it kept people away from me. Funny how life is, drop a 15 ft snake in front of somebody, chances are they won't talk much to you, or want to be around you. For me that was a good thing.
WF: Your Finishing Move, the legendary "DDT" has his name from your former snake Damian. The Name also means "Damien's Dinner Time" is that true or a rumor?
Jake: I may have said Damien's dinner time once, if twice I should kick myself in the butt. DDT has nothing to do with Damien. It was the name of a pesticide used worldwide that was getting into the food chain and causing all sorts of health problems. DDT was an abreviation for the scientific name. Thank God it was banned. My thought was it was poison to the brain, so it fits.
WF: What is the (good and bad) difference between the Wrestling from the 80`s to now, in your eyes?
Jake: Unfair- Einstein could not figure out a formula to weigh the facts properly on any scale. There is no comparison. As far as my eyes I try not to watch.
WF: The Business has a lot of "egos" and we are sure, that not all wrestlers like eachother. Do you still have contact to some other legends and workers from the earls 80`s? Who is it and how are they today?
Jake: My friends are private especially considering everyone's judgemental assessments of all of us.
WF: When you take a look in the mirror, what can you tell us about the man? Tell us something about the goos and bad sides of the man behind "the snake"..
Jake: We are passing this one, its been answered on our site, see interview with Viper.
WF: On October 2006 we see you on TNA TV, many fans are very happy to see a legend like yours, today after a long time. What are you doing today?
Jake: Still wrestling , still trying to teach, and starting to set a foundation for a much better life. Other than that, I have real bad heartburn...and gas..
WF: Do you miss the TV apperaence?
Jake: OH HELL NO.
WF: Jake, thank you very much an thx to Shannon!
