Wanderlei Cesar Silva braucht man den MMA & PRIDE Fans wohl nicht vorstellen. Er hat in seiner Karriere 33 Kämpfe gewonnen, 11 verloren und nur ein Unentschieden erreicht. Wrestlingfever: You were with UFC 99 in Germany before. Do you like Germany and what do you like most about Germany? Wanderlei: You know i like the people here during my time in Germany i make a lot of good friends And i love the german fans this crowd is amazing they always suported my fights. I made always good expieriences in germany and have always a good feeling when i think about it. Wrestlingfever: In a few months UFC Undisputed 3 will be in stores available do you like the game and do you think there is any improvment potential? Wanderlei: Yeah this is a cool game i just played the new version minutes ago. Its awesome you can play UFC naturally but the best thing about it is that now in the new version of UFC Undisputed you can even play under Pride rules. That is the coolest thing about it. Wrestlingfever: Besides of that the UFC Personal Trainer is in stores now is that a personal trainer that you or other professional fighters would use? Wanderlei: I played this game a few times someone gave it to me. This is a really really cool game too. The good thing about it is that there are many people who never trained before but after they played this game they try to do this work out in real life. So in my opinion this game helps to improve newer guys. Wrestlingfever: What would you consider as your personal career highlight and is there a chapter in your career what would you rather forget? Wanderlei: No there aren´t any chapters i think i am full happy with my career I fought with the best guys in the world. I am doing what love for living and i fought every single one i always wanted to fight. So i am happy with every single minute of my career. Wrestlingfever: How did you get your Nickname “The Axe Murderer” is there a story behind it? Wanderlei: Oh thats because of one of my old promoters. The Promoter saw me and watched my style. He said you are an axe murderer. I think it was because I used a lot of new stuff and maybe because of my look. So this promoter was the one who gave me this nickname “The Axe Murderer” Wrestlingfever: What are you doing shortly before a fight is there any ritual? Wanderlei: There is not very much I do before a fight but there is indeed one thing i always do. I pray to the lord to keep me healthy. You know it is a very dangerous sport and as it seems it works. Wrestlingfever: What do you think is the largest difference between the UFC and Pride FC? Wanderlei: You know the biggest difference between these two are the rules. The rules are lot different. Pride rules are tougher and of course another large differnce is that in Pride we fight in a ring compared to the UFC where we are fighting inside the cage. So i think thats are the main differnces between those two. Wrestlingfever: You suffered a painful defeat at UFC 132 how are u feeling right now? Wanderlei: Oh I am feeling good you know after this fight i woke up the next morning and started working again. Thats life. In life you always loose sometime but u have to get up and learn from it. And thats exactly what I did. Wrestlingfever: so there aren´t any plans to retire so far? Wanderlei: No Way (he laugh) Wrestlingfever: UFC 134 takes place in Rio de Janeiro what does it means for Brazil? Wanderlei: This is great for Brazil we have a lot of fans there and finally we are going to a open channel so everyone is able to watch it. You know it will help to get some new guys. The kids will go to the gym and start training instead of hanging out on the streets. Maybe it help to give them new opportunities. Thats what I think is most important and maybe the best thing we can do for Brazil. Wrestlingfever: If you are not preparing for a fight what are you doing ? Wanderlei: You know I really don´t know . I am fighting nearly my whole life the only thing I am thinking about is to fight. So I don´t do very much beside of it. If this fighting thing will be over sometime i will be helpless because i don´t know what i will be doing .
